§ 4857-4. Subpoena power.

At the request of the Environmental Health Department or any person who was entitled to receive notice, the examiner shall issue subpoenas and subpoenas duces tecum for attendance of witnesses or production of documents at the hearing. Compliance with the provisions of section 1985 of the Code of Civil Procedure shall be a condition precedent to the issuance of a subpoena duces tecum. After the hearing has commenced, the examiner may also issue subpoenas and subpoenas duces tecum as he deems proper.
