§ 6402-3. Notice to appear.

If any person is arrested for a violation of this ordinance and is not immediately taken before a magistrate, the arresting officer shall prepare in duplicate a written notice to appear in court on a date and at a time set forth in the notice. The officer shall deliver one copy of the notice to appear to the arrested person who, in order to secure his or her release, must give a written promise to appear in court at the date and time noticed by signing the duplicate notice which shall be retained by the officer.
