§ 6504-5. Fueling and defueling.

  • (a)

    Fueling Prohibited—No aircraft shall be fueled or defueled while the aircraft is in a hangar or enclosed space.

    (b)

    Smoking Prohibited—Smoking is prohibited within fifty (50) feet of an aircraft while the aircraft is being refueled or defueled.

    (c)

    Bonding Required—During fuel servicing, the aircraft and the fuel servicing tank vehicle shall be properly bonded to prevent the possibility of static ignition of fuel.

    (d)

    Hot Refueling—Hot refueling is not authorized except under emergency situations or by prior approval by the Director of Airports.

    (e)

    Self Fueling—All individuals wishing to self fuel shall comply with all applicable local, State, and Federal laws and regulations and shall obtain and comply with permits from the Department of Airports and the Fire Department.
