§ 8176-4.3.6. Floodways and floodplains.

Parking areas are prohibited in Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) designated regulatory floodways.

b.

Parking areas located in a FEMA designated one (1) percent annual chance floodplain (100-year floodplain) are subject to special design requirements. These requirements may include, but are not limited to, flood warning signage, design measures to contain motor vehicles in the parking area in the event of a flood, special lighting, mechanical and electrical system design requirements, and fencing restrictions.
