The purpose of this Section is to provide uniform standards for the siting, design,
monitoring, and permitting of
wireless communication facilities
in the unincorporated, non-public right-of-way, non-coastal area of the County consistent
with applicable federal and state laws and regulations. These standards are intended
to protect and promote the public health, safety, and welfare, including the aesthetic
quality of the unincorporated areas of the County. More specifically, the purpose
of this Section 8107-45 is to provide a consistent set of regulations to process permits for
wireless communication facilities,
and a comprehensive set of development standards that will protect visual resources
and public views, in conformity with goals and policies of the General Plan and Area
Plans, while providing for the communication needs of the community. Definitions for
all
italicized
terms in this Section are provided in Article 2.
